Slip-ring elimination on rotating payoff
A European cable manufacturer replaced 6 failing slip-ring assemblies on a high-speed wire drawing line with WENC2-D units. Previous MTBF was 8 months — WENC2 has been running 2 years zero maintenance.
Rotary strander encoder feedback
A Turkish rope manufacturer installed WENC2-T on a 36-bobbin buncher. The rotating cage previously required monthly brush inspection. WENC2 delivered continuous encoder signal with <1ms latency to the drive.
Hoisting drum position tracking

WENC2 delivers 200 m+ line-of-sight range on the 5 GHz band. Optimal performance in industrial environments depends on antenna positioning.
WENC2 supports incremental HTL/TTL encoders with differential A, /A, B, /B signals. On 2-wire encoders, /A and /B are bridged to GND. Encoder power is provided via TX pin 3 as a filtered +23.5V output.
Three variants: WENC2-S (1 encoder), WENC2-D (2 encoders), WENC2-T (3 encoders).
